A major credit card processor needed to ensure its BSA/AML risk controls, policies and training programs met regulatory standards. The company lacked alignment between its enterprise risk methodology and its BSA/AML compliance practices, leaving potential exposure.
We conducted a comprehensive BSA/AML risk assessment that aligned with the client’s broader corporate risk framework. This involved reviewing training across all affected business units to identify gaps and develop a tailored training program to address them. In addition, we collaborated with stakeholders to revise BSA/AML policies and procedures and communicated the updates to regulators.
Our efforts ensured the client had a well-documented, regulator-ready BSA/AML risk assessment. The revised policies and training programs we introduced strengthened internal compliance and positioned the organization to manage ongoing risk with greater confidence and clarity.
