George Freeth is a seasoned interim controller/CFO with our Transaction & Regulatory Advisory practice and has provided accounting and operational solutions for over 20 years, including providing executive leadership, treasury, banking compliance, significant budgeting, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting and technical accounting, along with a proven record of outstanding achievement in a variety of industries. He has served as controller for a $1B spin-off of an energy company, where he led an accounting team that prepared and filed a successful S-1, completed monthly and year end closes, implemented a new ERP system, relocated the corporate headquarters and transitioned to a new permanent team. George has participated in numerous engagements for clients completing strategic transactions (mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, roll-ups and IPOs) where his focus has spanned preparation of a SEC reporting schedules, financial planning and analysis/modeling, process documentation, review and improvement, project management, financial accounting/reporting, carve-outs/S-1, transition service arrangements, lease accounting, monthly closings, audit support, system implementation/optimization, acquisitions/purchase accounting and consolidations.
