The bank required experience with complex data migrations, large-scale operational consolidation, and end-to-end integration of products, people, policy and processes to complement their internal team.
SolomonEdwards deployed an M&A team to support the project management and workstream integration plans, contributing to the centralized playbook and executing on critical tasks from pre-purchase planning through conversion weekend. The team was comprised of industry experts, business and data analysts, project managers and fractional C-suite positions to ensure a smooth transition and integration. Using the playbook as a guide, we conducted tabletop walkthroughs to simulate the conversion weekend in a controlled environment, allowing teams to identify gaps, redundancies and unclear responsibilities. This helped the client identify and resolve potential problems and bottlenecks before the actual conversion.
The well-executed playbook and integration plan allowed for a smooth mock and conversion weekend with minimal disruptions, which not only ensured operational stability for the client going forward, but also laid the foundation for delivering long-term value to both the institution and its customers. The playbook was continuously enhanced through post-mortem exercises, which will serve the client as a “living” document as they continue to expand.
