A sustainable cement and concrete developer had issued convertible notes with attached warrants and other provisional “sweeteners” to induce investors to purchase them. Because these financial instruments were subject to complex accounting rules, we were brought in to help the company understand the accounting impact of the notes and obtain a fair-value calculation of their value.
