He has served as controller for a $1B spin-off of an energy company, where he led an accounting team that prepared and filed a successful S-1, completed monthly and year end closes, implemented a new ERP system, relocated the corporate headquarters and transitioned to a new permanent team. George has participated in numerous engagements for clients completing strategic transactions (mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, roll-ups and IPOs) where his focus has spanned preparation of a SEC reporting schedules, financial planning and analysis/modeling, process documentation, review and improvement, project management, financial accounting/reporting, carve-outs/S-1, transition service arrangements, lease accounting, monthly closings, audit support, system implementation/optimization, acquisitions/purchase accounting and consolidations.
