  • A leading refiner, distributor and marketer of fuels needed a partner to develop a new corporate governance framework. SolomonEdwards reviewed the existing framework and made recommendations to implement activities like periodic evaluations of the audit committee, development of a risk appetite statement, and a delegation of authority. The process we developed also included reviews to ensure these activities were performed as outlined in the framework. We also worked with the client to review and align its Board of Directors and its sub-committees to ensure effectiveness of responsibilities and communication.
  • An international electric and gas company contacted SolomonEdwards to manage their finance and accounting group throughout a firm wide transition. As the finance and accounting lead,  SolomonEdwards’ consultants reviewed the complex, cross period accounting and financial systems cutover issues and executed a long term solution. After our team completed the project, we provided ongoing support to the company’s internal finance and accounting TSA team – completing month end close, month end account reconciliations, finance variance analysis and internal SOX compliance.
