Secretary & General Counsel/Director of Expansion
Marla serves as the Secretary, General Counsel and Director of Expansion, overseeing SolomonEdwards’ Legal Department. Her responsibilities include integrating acquired firms into our existing structure, overseeing in-house legal compliance and leading strategic planning.
Marla also collaborates closely with the People & Culture Department to review and revise corporate policies. She has more than thirty years of experience in both the public and private sectors, practicing in the areas of law and tax. She has worked with both multinational and domestic companies in various industries, including real estate, financial services, retail, food and beverage, and heavy and light manufacturing.
Marla has been a frequent presenter at AICPA, TEI, Tiger 21, and state accounting societies. She has authored numerous articles regarding qualified opportunity zones and fixed assets, including those for CCH, The Street, FON Magazine, business journals, and The Tax Advisor. She has also been quoted in the New York Times, Barron’s, Accounting Today, and Fund Fire.
