The increasing complexity of both US GAAP and SEC compliance rules combined with a gross shortage of talent with technical accounting and financial reporting experience has created enormous demand in the industry. SEG has the perspective of working with a number of companies to research, interpret, consult with, file, and advice on SEC, US GAAP, and IFRS rules. Here is an example of a representative client success:
SEG was engaged by a global advertising agency to assist with the completion of its global SEC financial restatement project. In this capacity, SEG's SEC Advisory practice has provided technical acccounting consultation on certain complexities assocaited with the company's compliance with US GAAP rules as well as project management for SEG teams working at their subsidiary locations on the restatement project in Spain, Itlay, and South Africa. This intensive six month long project was staffed with more than 20 consultants. SEG was able to leverage its network of international affliliate partners to assemble service teams as local subsidiary locations quickly and with the right skill sets and experiences to add value to this project. Each local team worked under the ultimate direction of SEG's SEC advisory team project manager in the United States.
